MCG Legal    Blog    The Best Co-Working Spaces on the Gold Coast

In recent years, the Gold Coast has become an entrepreneurial hub. As any entrepreneur would know, the flexibility associated with working for yourself is much better than the 9-5 grind of being chained to a desk. However, with freedom comes procrastination. Fortunately, there are plenty of great co-working spaces on the Gold Coast to help you avoid the freelancing pitfalls – spaces where all entrepreneurs can go to collaborate, converse and get it done surrounded by like-minded folk and creative minds. As such, we have highlighted a few of our favourites below!

Hotel Miami

Hotel Miami is arguably the most aesthetic of the Gold Coast co-working spaces. A repurposed warehouse, a bright pink wall marks the entryway and, once inside, prepare for an even better atmosphere. Neon signs, velvet couches in bright hues of pink and blue and stacks of art set the mood. Hotel Miami was opened with the idea of building somewhere to hang out with other creatives and have a little fun in the creative Miami community while getting it done! Freelancers have the option of renting a desk for the day for $29 and a permanent rental will set you back $119 a week. If you’re up for good vibes and banter, Hotel Miami is the co-working space for you.

WOTSO Workspace

WOTSO workspace is a buzzing community of entrepreneurs and established businesses located in Varsity Lakes.  If you want hotdesking, or daily or permanent desking in the coworking space, WOTSO has you covered. You can even take a serviced office on their easy month-to-month memberships. They also offer a passport program, which allows members to hot-desk for free at any other spaces in the WOTSO network when they travel – think Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra, Adelaide and Singapore. WOTSO also boasts a number of networking events and social activities in which you can collaborate and meet like-minded people in a relaxed environment.

The Productive GC

Can’t bear the thought of leaving your pooch at home while you head to work? Well, you no longer have to! The Productive GC is a pet-friendly co-working space located in Bundall. Owned by a mother and daughter duo, The Productive GC attracts everyone from bloggers to tech start-ups, entrepreneurs, freelance writers and professionals. They believe in shared knowledge, chasing dreams, the power of networking, support, productivity and smashing goals. With networking events, boardrooms, coaching sessions and consultations, a one month pass is $450. However, a daily drop-in will only cost you $30, which includes wifi, printing, stationery, tea, coffee and a 9-hour hot desk. Not bad if you ask us!

Co Spaces

When you become a member of Co Spaces, you aren’t choosing a desk, you’re choosing a community. Located in Southport in three historic buildings on the Gold Coast, Co Spaces has grown to over 2000 m2 of lettable space that includes over 100 coworking desks, 5 meeting rooms, secure private offices, event spaces for hire, a photography studio, coffee shop and rooftop bar. There’s also iconic street-front coffee hub Percy’s Corner Café for a caffeine fix and Mr PP’s Deli and Rooftop Bar onsite for an after-work tipple. With the G:link station just metres from the space, you can avoid parking dramas by taking the tram to work!
